Dear Supporter,
This week, Peace Action leaders from across the country converged in Washington, DC for four days of meetings to coordinate our work.
Together, we made plans to continue our push to prevent war with Iran and to bring the troops home from Afghanistan. We swapped stories and shared skills to pressure candidates to take a stand on shifting our national spending priorities. We committed to continue to build alliances with labor, social justice, and community groups to Move the Money from wars and weapons back to our communities.
We couldn't have done this without your input. Thank you to everyone who took the time to fill out our annual membership survey. We were overjoyed with the thoughtful and insightful comments we received this year. Your input directly shapes our work for peace and justice, and it is precisely this collective voice that gives us our political influence.
Check out the results of this year's survey.
Meanwhile, our petition to prevent war with Iran is continuing to grow strong. With over 10,000 signatures in just a matter of weeks, we've been overwhelmed by the response.
Just last week, the United University Professions, representing over 34,000 faculty and professional staff at all 29 campuses of the State University of New York, passed a resolution for No Military Action Against Iran. More and more, people are recognizing that another war isn't what we need.
Signing only takes a minute. Tell President Obama to let diplomacy prevail. Sign our petition to prevent war with Iran by February 14.
Humbly for Peace,
Kevin Martin
