| Join WABA and the Washington City Paper for our Singles Ride and Bike-In Movie and win one of two exciting bikes! - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED Saturday August 5th Pre-Register for the Ride here Join the Washington area's most eligible singles on our annual Singles Ride through Rock Creek Park! Whether you get a date on the ride, bring your own or bring your family, join us for our Bike-In Movie screening of Pee Wee's Big Adventure in the evening! Location and times Those joining the Singles Ride will meet at the 18th St. Entrance of Marie Reed Rec. Center next to the Tennis Courts at 5:30pm. The Bike-In Movie will take place on the Marie Reed Rec. Center field located on the corner of California and 18th St. NW starting at 8:00pm. Win one of two exciting bikes! Participants in the Singles Ride will have an opportunity to win a Sun Bicycles Drifter Tandem! While moviegoers can enter a raffle to win a Replica 1950's Roadmaster Cruiser. Both bikes courtesy of Mt. Airy/College Park Bicycles. Free Valet Bike Parking during Bike-In Movie courtesy of Chain Reaction Youth Bike Shop! Volunteers needed at this event! | City Bikes RFK Criterium Sunday, August 6 This is Washington DC’s only professional bike race. This annual event races around RFK Stadium’s old gran prix course. Come watch the exciting, fast pace racing or participate yourself! Along with Categories 1-5 racing, WABA is sponsoring an open course fun ride for current members at 1:30pm, and will be grilling up food for all the racers. |

| Save the Date! 50 States Ride August 26 This annual ride covers all 50 state streets in the city in search of the District of Columbia’s statehood. The 60+ mile city tour is for cyclists experienced and comfortable with riding through city streets with traffic. |
