Traffic Delay Study
September 27, 7am-7pm

WABA is working with the DC BID and DDOT to study how changes of the downtown corridors infrastructure affects various modes of transport, including bicycles. Volunteers are needed to help with this study on Wednesday, September 27 from 7:00 am until 7:00pm, with additional days to follow. Anacostia by Bike: the River and the Ridge
September 30, 8:30 am

This ride, in conjunction with Cultural Tourism DC, explores the western ridge of Anacostia via Martin Luther King Blvd. to its end while visiting the neighborhoods above the Potomac River, Oxon Run Valley and Washington Highlands.

International Walk to School Day
October 4

In just one generation, the percentage of children who walk or bike to school has dropped 75% while the number of overweight children has tripled. We are all concerned about the rising obesity rates, traffic congestion, and gas prices in our area, but there is a free, healthy and more environmentally sustainable alternative: walking or biking to school. Join hundreds of area families as they participate in Walk to School Day.

Flooding the Headwaters of the Anacostia
October 7, 9 am

This tour in partnership with Earth Conservation Corps offers a rare opportunity to trace the Anacostia River from its headwaters to the mouth of the Potomac River. Participants will follow one of four routes using the Anacostia Tributary Trail system and then tour the river by boat.

She Got Bike!

Join TEAM BBC, the Baltimore Bicycling Club and Joe’s Bike Shop for a day of cycling, music, food and fun in celebration of women’s cycling. Ride through some of Baltimore County’s most scenic roads and enjoy all kinds of festivities afterwards, including the “She Got Bike!” fashion show, featuring the latest in women’s cycling gear.
