On Monday, February 26th, 7:30p at the Dunn Loring Center (NW corner
Gallows & Idylwood Rds, door #2), the Merrifield Town Center
developer will give a presentation of their revised development plan
of 80+ acres in Merrifield to interested communities. This includes
the area of the theaters, south of Lee Highway and west to Eskridge

Please contact Maryland Senator Jennie Forehand and ask her to support the CLEAN CAR BILL - WITHOUT AMENDMENTS - currently before the Maryland legislature. Senator Forehand's favorable vote is a crucial for the passage of the bill this year. Senator Forehand represents District 17 in Montgomery County which includes most of the Rockville - Gaithersburg - Garrett Park area. It is important to oppose any amendments to the bill because they usually defeat its purpose. learn more>>
Alexandria DASH Fleet Now Equipped with SmarTrip Fareboxes
Alexandria Transit Company (ATC) announced that all DASH buses are now equipped with new SmarTrip fareboxes. ATC is the first local transit system, in partnership with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), to accept SmarTrip farecards on their buses.
