Dear Bike to Work Day registrant,

On behalf of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association thank you for registering for Bike to Work Day 2007!  So far we have over 6100 people signed up for the event and are looking forward to the largest Bike to Work Day ever.  Please take the time to read the information below.  It will help make your bike commute a safer and more enjoyable experience.

Pit Stop Rallies and T-shirts
Your official Bike to Work Day t-shirt will be available at the pit stop you chose when signing up.  Each pit stop will be offering breakfast, entertainment, dynamic speakers and chances to win bicycles and other prizes.



Commuter Convoys
Since you registered there may have been changes made to the starting time or location of your commuter convoy.  Please check out our commuter convoy page for any new information.

Safe Bicycling Tips
If your are new to bike commuting or just want to find out how to make your trip safer and more enjoyable, please visit WABA's area biking page.  There you will find information on bike maps, safe bicycling tips, how to take your bike on transit and much more!

Weather
Be sure to check the weather before you leave in the morning and dress accordingly.  Remember that in wet weather your brakes will not function as well so build in more stopping distance.  Also, watch our for metal surfaces in the road such as manhole covers.  These can be slick when wet.
