Dear Virginia WABA Members and Supporters:

Senate Bill 928, which would prohibit motorists from following bicyclists too closely and also increase Virginia's minimum overtaking distance from two feet to three feet, was passed unanimously by the Virginia Senate on February 8 and is now before the Virginia House of Delegates.  The House Transportation Committee may vote on SB 928 as early as Thursday, February 17, and we need Virginia WABA members to ask the seven committee members from Northern Virginia to support this bill.
