Hello Bike Shop Owner / Manager!
Good Afternoon. I wanted to extend an extra special invitation to you as major members of the bicycling community. WABA is hosting a Regional Call to Action Summit on November 3rd in Arlington, VA. We a creating a regional advocacy priority plan that will cover the next five years which will be presented at the Call to Action Summit on November 3rd.
We want your input! As a member of the bicycling and local business communities, your input is very valuable and important. We also want your employee’s input and your customer’s input. Please attend one (or more) of the local stakeholder and give your ideas. If you can’t make the meetings, please email your ideas to advocacy@waba.org using the Pre-Meeting Planning Sheet. Also, we would greatly appreciate if you could inform your customers of the Call to Action Summit via email or your website.
During the all day Call to Action Summit, there will be a 20 – 30 minute panel on the economic impact of bicycling in the Washington Region. We would like to have owners and managers of local shops participate in a question & answer panel session with summit attendees about how the business community has impacted bicycle advocacy and how the business community can affect advocacy moving forward. This is your opportunity to connect with your customer community and discuss how we can move the shared goal of better bicycling ahead. If you are interested in participating in this panel, please email me at greg@waba.org by September 1st.
Thank you so much and I look forward to working with you!
